Makes me wonder if the config has a check that it will only let you config if you're hooked up to Plusnet.

I think it did go awol and in spite of many attempts to reconfigure, the re-try with the phone line connected seemed tpo remind it what to do. But we're back, faster than the spare router I was on. Login with the modem Technicolor TC7210-dNZ with the following default ip address (192. It did take quite a few attempts, though, especially at getting the WiFi config to "stick". Step 2: Enter your chosen admin username and password. Navigate through the router's admin panel and look for 'DHCP Reservations', Click on DHCP Reservations and assign a static local ip address for your gaming console or end-device and make. If you change the router IP address to 192.168.2.254 and leave the the subnet mask as 255.255.255.0 then the pool of IP address must match and be somewhere in the range 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.2.253. So, the first step is to assign a FIXED IP / Static IP address to the device that is requesting a port forward from Technicolor TG788vn v2 MediaAccess Router. I reconfigured the account DSL login and my own WiFi SSID/pw and kaboom!, here we are. The router hands out a pool of IP addresses to the devices you connect to it by a process known as DHCP. The router allowed me in, and had connected to Plusnet using a default login (not my login) The "only" difference is, when trying to log in to the router to reconfigure it, I had the phone line re-connected (I had had this before but it had not made any difference, but it's true the bulk of my router-admin-login attempts were without the phone line connected)
